For two days, Saturday-Sunday (4-5 July 2009), Surakarta government, in cooperation with Pura Mangkunegaran held Mangkunegaran Performing Arts at Pendapa Pura Mangkunegaran Solo. This rare event displays masterpieces of art and culture of KGPAA Mangkoe Nagoro IV, VII, and VIII which are performed by dancers and actors from Pura Mangkunegara art and Surya Sumirat dance studios.The implementation is intended to promote the city of Solo and attract the tourists coming, especially the time is coincide with school holidays. In addition, the performance also as s forum to preserve and develop particular Mangkunegaran cultural arts, as well as Javanese culture in general.
